Attention all comic creators!
Join us for the first ever 24 Hour Comics Day at TATE’S!
Event began Friday, October 19, 2012 at 3pm …and ends 3pm the following day. It’s literally 24 hours long!
What is 24-hour comics day?
An event held around the world which challenges writers and artists to create a complete 24-page comic in 24 consecutive hours. 24 Hour Comics Day has been going on since 2004, but we have never participated before! Challenge yourself and join us for this first time event at TATE’S! Each year, over 2,000 artists from around the world take the 24-Hour Comics Day challenge!
When they say a complete comic, that means everything: Story, finished art, lettering, color (if applicable), paste-up, everything. Once pen hits paper, the clock starts ticking. 24 hours later, the pen lifts off the paper, never to descend again.
• TATE’S will be totally OPEN for 24 hours!
• Tables, chairs and perks will be available for participants to work comfortably!
• First 50 participants to sign-up will receive a Blue Line Blank Comic Book.
• Saturday, October 20th at 11:00am 3000 Brigade BBQ with affordable eats & treats!
• First 3 pages of each finished comic will be sent in for inclusion in the published 24 Hour Comics trade paperback!
