We were shocked when a few days after Free Comic Book Day a customer pointed out to us Tate’s smug looking face in the back of a TON of Dark Horse comics, including Free Comic and regular titles. We really had no idea it was in there! The story told there is true of course, we were honored to have Kevin Eastman as a regular in our store for a (sadly) short period of time. Tate and Kevin remain friends, though he has moved across the country he will be back someday for a proper in-store signing!

Here is the full photo that Dark Horse took Tate’s headshot from. This photo was taken (with blank shirts) so we could use it to superimpose on the designs for our 2012 Halloween Sale shirts. He and Rosemary were striking “model” poses here. He looks WAY less smug when holding his adorable 2.5 year old daughter, wouldn’t you agree?
