Johnny: Hmm.. Maybe the Mark Ryden book I’ve been looking at every time I’m in there or that new one from Alex Gross. I’m an art dork.
How long have you been visiting TATE’S? Sarah: About 5 years, ever since the move to this location.
Johnny: I guess around 3 years. Come to think of it…I think my Tates cherry was popped with Sarah.
How old are you? Sarah: 29 / Johnny: 31
How do you make a living? Sarah: I work in a Quilt Shop / Johnny: Graphic Designer/Hobo
If you could do ANYTHING, how would you make a living? Sarah: Being Kate on LOST. That’d be AWESOME! / Johnny: Super Successful Artist/Graphic Designer/Hobo
Do you have any pets? Sarah: Miniature Schnauzer, Zoe and 2 Black Cats- Figaro and Lucy / Johnny: Figaro = big fat boy black cat, Lucy Furr = dainty girly black cat
Do you have any tattoos? Sarah: I have one of a cave drawing of Tank Girl?s Face from one of her comics and one of a star on my wrist that’s so small it looks like a birthmark. Oh and P.S. I’ve had the star before the girls with stars on their wrists became super popular.
Johnny: Untouched by ink or piercing … that hurts, right? Plus I’m waaaaay too picky.
What was you favorite toy as a child? — Now?
Sarah: Then, My Teddy Bear – Now, Johnny
Johnny: My SOUNDWAVE Transformer complete with tapes!… Legos…Etch a Sketch ANIMATOR!!!!
What is your most bizarre childhood memory?
Sarah: Being called into the Principals office in grade 4 to discuss with the principal and the other students in the class “Why we hate Sarah”. I had a lot of fun that year (sarcasm).
Johnny: I don’t remember this, but my Mom says I used to sleep walk into my parents bedroom and scream bloody murder every night when I was 5. They hired an exorcist to cleanse the house & our priest gave us a crucifix to go over the bed. How’s that for bizarre….
What is the one thing that irritates you the most? Sarah: No common sense and when I ask What’s up?? and people respond with What’s up?? You can’t answer a question with a QUESTION!
Johnny: My procrastination…. incompetent drivers (this might include myself sometimes)… rude ass mofos.. those kids and their pesky dog!
What is your favorite smell? Sarah: Johnny’s Chicken Fried Rice, My friend Matt’s homemade pizza and Safari by Ralph Lauren / Johnny: FEAR!!! Brownies baking. Sarah’s hair after she takes a shower.
What do you collect? Sarah: Comics, Fabric, Needlepoint Art, Records, Vintage Quilt Books, Action Figures, Board Games and Vintage Fabric Pillow Panels (Funny how stuff from the eighties is vintage.)
Johnny: Dust, receipts… design books & art books. Sarah collects enough stuff for both of us.
What are some of your hobbies? Sarah: Quilting, button making, sewing, reading comics.
Johnny: Drawing, painting, sculpting, working out my hot pecs, playing around on the computer, long walks on the beach…
What is your Favorite Comic/Manga? Sarah: SHE-HULK (she’s rad). In middle school we had to create a product and use a spokesperson. I used She-Hulk and made this zit stuff that you put on your face to create zits. I called it “Jerk-Off” and then my mom had to explain to me why I shouldn’t call it that. Oh, also Excalibur: Mojo Mayhem, with Kitty Pryde and the X-Babies.
Johnny: X-Men when the Asian Psylocke was born in all her Jim Lee goodness. I copied pictures from that issue over & over again. Wildcats, Lobo, The Maxx, The
Kingdom Come series, The Inferno series. Anything with cool art.
What is your Favorite Anime/Cartoon? Sarah: Always liked Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Sorry to say that most Anime doesn’t do it for me. Sorry! Don’t Stone me!
Johnny: Ghost in the Shell. First time I saw it… It blew my mind!!!! Spongebob Squarepants, Heavy Metal, Akira.
What is your Most Favorite Movie? Sarah: The Back to the Future Trilogy, Anything John Waters or Gregg Araki.
Johnny: FIGHT CLUB… Changed my life!

What is Your Favorite T-Shirt? Sarah: My Old Jason Lee Skateboarding shirt.
Johnny: One of my Dad’s old T-shirts from when he was in the Air force. I think it’s cool that he was my age when he was wearing it.
What is your dream car? Sarah: Lamborghini Diablo, Delorean with a Mr. Fusion
Johnny: I’m still waiting for a flying car. Those bastards better hurry it up.
What superpowers do you wish you possessed? Sarah: The ability to find lost things or people. The little girl on Heroes has the same power.

Most treasured possession? Sarah: My Fisher Price Wonder Woman Book and Tape. I named my Cabbage Patch Diana Price because of it!
Johnny: Sarah’s sweet love! My Brother has an X-Men #1 in mint condition that I get if he croaks.
